AAWAA is proud to announce the launch of our new, revamped website! This will become an integral part of our mission in ensuring the visibility of Asian Pacific American (APA) art and artists, the inclusion of APAs into American art history, challenging societal stereotypes, promoting open dialogue across cultures, and building community for the well-being and empowerment of APA women.
Since 2012, we have been working on developing a new robust website for AAWAA to better serve our mission and begin the Asian American Arts Resource Initiative, an online archive of APA women artists and their works. We aim to build our site to host not only extensive information about our organization’s community programs, but also as a key destination to find curriculum for students and teachers, research for scholars and educators, and resources for arts professionals, curators, writers, etc.
We welcome you to explore the new site!
Special thanks to those who have made this possible: Choppy Oshiro (designer), David Elaine Alt (web developer), and Melanie Elvena (project and content manager).
